Description
Teaching spelling rules is a large part of Orton-Gillingham instruction. Because the English language often has multiple spelling options for the same sound, it can be confusing for students to know which letters or groups of letters to use to represent those sounds. These brightly colored posters explain each spelling rule and give examples, so students confidently learn to map the right letters with their associated sounds.
There are 24 posters in this resource: 12 COLOR and 12 BLACK & WHITE
This product may be used in a variety of ways:
- on a bulletin board displaying the current and future spelling rules that will be covered in a classroom
- displayed in a small group or tutoring room as a reference guide for use during lessons
- included in students’ reference binders (behind a tabbed section titled “spelling rules”) for students to refer to during lessons or homework
