I’m Christina Franco

-an optimist at heart who loves God, loves people, and delights in using my education and experience to help make the journey a little easier for others. I am married to an avid cyclist, retired Air Force veteran-turned business owner who is the love of my life. And my two kids here… they mean the world to me.

I’ve been where you are,

and I understand the struggle!

During my years as a classroom teacher, private tutor, reading interventionist, and parent of a child who needed more help than what was available in the classroom,

I felt the challenges of limited time, resources, and knowledge to provide the necessary reading instruction.

These are just a few of the questions that ran through my mind…

I knew my kids needed help, and I was tired of spinning my wheels.

So I did some work and…

✔ got certified in Orton Gillingham

✔ visited and learned from other schools who had successful programs implementing Orton Gillingham

✔ learned how to successfully use Orton-Gillingham methods in large group, small group, and individual settings

✔ worked with teams of teachers and administrators in several schools to develop resource programs

✔ earned a doctorate in Educational Curriculum and Instruction, with a dissertation study on implementing Orton-Gillingham methods in the classroom

✔ trained schools how to start resource programs

✔ trained teachers how to use Orton-Gillingham methods and individualize them for their students

I learned how to individualize Orton-Gillingham instruction and found that it was possible to adapt these methods to any teaching context—and I helped others do it too!
