Description
The 1-1-1 doubling rule is one of the trickiest rules for students in the younger grades to master. Understanding this rule will help them know whether a word has a long vowel or a short vowel. It will also help students learn how to correctly spell words containing long and short vowels when adding a vowel suffix.
This 1-1-1 Doubling Rule Phonics Focus Pack from the Multisensory Classroom provides a detailed lesson plan as well as a variety of word lists, word cards, posters, worksheets, and activities to help your students better grasp this skill.
