- Alliteration Information Article: This article explains what alliteration is, why it’s important, and assessment objectives.
- Alliteration Lesson Guide: This lesson guide provides 9 different lesson and activity ideas that introduce and reinforce alliteration. The remainder of this bundle includes the various lesson and activity pages that coincide with the lesson guide.
- Alliteration Task Assessment– This assessment is perfect to check students’ ability to identify, discriminate between, and product initial sounds.
- Alliterated Sentence Strips: This includes 12 “tongue twister” sentences containing words beginning with the same sound along with corresponding pictures. Bundle includes all 12 sentences strips in both color and black and white.
- Fantastic Finds: For this activity, students bring objects from home that begin with the same sound as their name and then write down and draw a picture of their object(s) on the “Fantastic Finds” page.
- Alliteration Puzzles & My Puzzle Picture Worksheet: This includes 25 alliteration puzzles (all letters except x) in which students piece together letters with pictures that have the same beginning sound as the letters. Students then develop sentences from these puzzles and draw them on the “My Puzzle Picture” worksheet. Bundle includes all 25 puzzles in both color and black and white.
- Alliterated Animal Matching Activity: This page includes an easy-cut-out matching game in which students match a color to an animal that has the same beginning sound as the color (Ex: pink with pig, brown with bear, etc.).
- I Spy: This activity includes 25 “I Spy” pages (all letters except x); students color the pictures on each page that have the same beginning sound as the picture at the top of the page.
- Alliteration Posters & Perfect Patterns Worksheet: Includes 8 colorful 8.5 x11 posters, each with a unique alliterated sentence and picture(s), and a reinforcement “Perfect Patterns” worksheet that uses many of the same or similar images as those on the posters.
- Alliteration Sentence Snapshot: Includes 25 “Sentence Snapshot” pages (all letters except x) with silly alliterated sentences and a place to draw pictures these sentences, as well as a blank “Sentence Snapshot” page for students who want to create and draw their own alliterated sentences.
- Beginning Sounds- Includes 8 pages of practice for students to choose and paste pictures that have the same beginning sounds as the pictures in each row.
- Begins with- Students sort cards according to the sound they begin with; for students that know how to write the letters, they can write the corresponding letter that goes with each card on the sheet.
