Description
The Orton-Gillingham 3-part drill is an essential element of an Orton Gillingham lesson, and these phonogram cards are a fantastic resource for tying in the visual and auditory components as studorton-gillingham-phonogram-cardsents look at each card while simultaneously saying the name of the phonogram(s), the keyword picture, and the sound it makes (Ex: sh-shoe-/sh/). Cards are 3.5”x5” and print 4 to a page.
This product includes three resources:
- 3 sets of 120 Phonogram Cards:
- Set 1- color images with white backgrounds: only keyword picture that coordinates with its phonogram is in full color.
- Set 2- color images with color backgrounds: all keyword pictures are in full color; consonants are on a turquoise background, vowels are on a pink background, and glued sounds are on a mustard yellow background
- Set 3- black and white images with white backgrounds: organized into three separate files (consonants, vowels, glued sounds). Each file can be printed using colored cardstock (ideally a similar colored cardstock as the background color on the color phonogram cards
Each of the above sets also comes with a file of single-sided and double-sided phonogram cards. When the double-sided cards are printed (by setting printer to print on both sides of the paper), they will have the phonogram and keyword picture on the front side and just the phonogram on the back side; the single-sided cards only have the phonogram and keyword picture on the one side.
- Prefix and Suffix Cards:
- 21 total cards
- Suffix cards include: en; -es; -est; -er; -ed as /ed/; -ed as /t/; ed as /d/; review ed as /d/, /t/, & /ed/; -ing; -ly; -ness; -ment; -ful; -s; -tion , sion (as /shun/, /zhun/)
