Description
This is a comprehensive decodable word list that is perfectly aligned to The Multisensory Classroom. These decodable word lists include real words, nonsense words and sentences and are a HUGE time saver!
Included in this product:
1.) The Multisensory Classroom Scope and Sequence (black & white version included)
This scope and sequence covers all spelling and reading (phonics) skills from kindergarten to 2nd grade. These skills may also be used for remedial instruction for students all the way through 12th grade.
Because Orton Gillingham is a method and not a curriculum, there is no standard order of skills that must be taught to students. The logical order and progression of the skills as presented in this scope and sequence is generally consistent with other highly recommended OG and phonics-based reading curricula although variations do exist from these other programs. These variations are intentional and are a result of decades of practical experience working with students, my own personal doctoral dissertation research in multisensory reading instruction, and input by Orton Gillingham-certified fellows.
2.) Steps 1-10 Words and Sentences Cover Page- Designed with the same color scheme as Steps 1-10 of The Multisensory Classroom Scope and Sequence for quick and easy organization of your OG lesson prep materials.
3.) Steps 1-10 Table of Contents- A quick glance of the sub-step, phonogram/skill, and page number to easily find the needed pages.
4.) Steps 1-10 Common Core Standards- A table of the Common Core K-3 Reading: Foundational Skills standards for each story and its emphasized phonogram/skill.
5.) Steps 1-10 Word Lists and Sentence Lists- Lists containing real words, nonsense words, and sentences.
All products in The Multisensory Classroom are designed to follow Orton Gillingham-based instruction and are derived from my Orton Gillingham Academy accredited training and my doctoral dissertation research implementing Orton Gillingham in the classroom.
