Description
For students who are progressing from individual phonograms to blends, these consonant blend cards are perfect. The Orton-Gillingham 3-part drill is an essential element of an Orton Gillingham lesson, and these consonant blends cards are a fantastic resource for tying in the visual and auditory components as students look at each card while simultaneously saying the name of the blends, the keyword picture, and the sound it makes (Ex: bl-block-/bl/).
BLENDS Cards BUNDLE
This bundle includes 4 sizes of Blends Cards:
POSTER: 8.5” x 11” (1/page).
LARGE: 5.5” x 8.5” (2/page).
MEDIUM: 3.5” x 5” (4/page).
SMALL: 2.5” x 4” (8/page).
This product includes two types of resources:
- 3 sets of 42 Blends Cards:
Set 1- color images with white backgrounds: only the keyword picture that coordinates with its consonant blend is in full color.
Set 2- color images with color backgrounds: all keyword pictures are in full color with a turquoise background (turquoise is the background color for all consonants in The Multisensory Classroom Phonogram Cards and Magnetic Letter Tiles products)
Set 3- black and white images with white backgrounds: these pages may be printed on white or colored cardstock (if using The Multisensory Classroom color Phonogram Cards, these can be printed on turquoise cardstock to maintain uniformity among all the consonant phonogram cards in the program).
Each of the above sets comes with a file of single-sided and double-sided blends cards (except for Blends Posters). When the double-sided cards are printed (by setting printer to print on both sides of the paper), they will have the blend and keyword picture on the front side and just the blend on the back side; the single-sided cards have the blend and keyword picture on one side, with nothing on the backside.
