1.) Side 1- the contraction (Ex: they’re)
2.) Side 2- the two words that make up the contraction (they are)

- Contractions with is: he’s, it’s , she’s, that’s, there’s, who’s
- Contractions with would: he’d, I’d, she’d, they’d, we’d
- Contractions with have: I’ve, they’ve, we’ve, you’ve
- Contractions with not: can’t, couldn’t, hadn’t, haven’t, shouldn’t, won’t
